Maliki calls on countries to expand NATO role in Iraq

دعا رئيس الوزراء نوري المالكي دول حلف الناتو الى توسيع دورها في العراق عبر تأهيل القوات الأمنية العراقية ودعم مشاريع البناء والإعمار. The Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki of NATO to expand its role in Iraq through the rehabilitation of Iraqi security forces and support construction projects and reconstruction.
وقال بيان صدر عن مكتب رئيس الوزراء ان الحكومة العراقية تتطلع الى " استمرار دول حلف الناتو في تدريب وتأهيل وتجهيز" القوات الأمنية العراقية لتمكينها من "مواجهة الإرهاب والحصول على الخبرات اللازمة لبناء المؤسسات العسكرية بما يساعد في رفع مستوى مهنيتها وكفاءتها". A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office that the Iraqi government looks forward to "continuing NATO countries in the training and rehabilitation and equipping" Iraqi security forces to enable them to "confront terrorism and access to expertise needed to build institutions, including military help in raising the level of professionalism and efficiency."
واضاف البيان ان المالكي دعا الى توسيع دور الحلف في العراق قائلا " ان من شأن توسيع مهمة بعثة الناتو للتدريب العسكري وتدريب الشرطة العسكرية في العراق ان يشكل دعما للحكومة وللشعب العراقي". The statement added that al-Maliki called for expanding the role of NATO in Iraq, saying "that would expand the mission of the NATO military training and military police training in Iraq that is in support of the Government and the Iraqi people."
مشيرا الى ان ذلك "يؤكد التزام الحلف في مد يد العون" لبناء المؤسسات الامنية العراقية لتتمكن من تحقيق اهداف الشعب العراقي في العيش الآمن وسيادة القانون اضافة الى مساعدة العراق في دعم مشاريع البناء والإعمار وتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية. He pointed out that this "confirms the commitment of NATO to extend a helping hand" to build Iraqi security institutions to be able to achieve the goals of the Iraqi people to live in security and the rule of law, in addition to assisting Iraq in support of construction projects, reconstruction and economic development.
