An astute friend of mine made the following observations on
the similarities of Amedia and our little scam.
note the similarities between Amedia Networks and Rim Semi:
1. Both companies "strategy" was to increase authorized shares: Amedia to 3 billion, now Rim to 4 billion.
2. Both companies had/have going concern warnings issued by their auditors
3. Both companies touted reputable industry connections – Rim (Embarq, Intel, Telcordia) and Amedia (Motorola, Telcordia)
4. Amedia's CEO was fond of writing the "Dear Fellow Shareholder" letters too.
5. Ivan Berkowitz – served on both Rim and Amedia Networks board of directors
6. SEC Filing. On February 12, 2008, the board of directors of Amedia Networks, Inc. determined that it had no choice but to cease all operations. The decision to cease operations is primarily attributable to the non-materialization of a market for the Company's products, the lack of operating capital, the inability to raise additional working capital and the inability to pay creditors.
cheers
