The only good thing about the GE induced stock market drop was that my 3 week old buy order for GE was filled at $32.My buy order for Apple at $120 will have to wait a while.

This sounds like such a wonderful opportunity for writing Puts. Have you considered this? If you wanted to pick up GE at $32 then a $32 Put would have been ideal. You could still get $0.60 for the April $32 Put and end up buying GE at $31.40 if assigned. Worst case is you walk away with the money.
