In the middle of a highway 101 interchange near Eureka, California, they dedicated the interchange and the Ronald Reagan Memorial Grove. It consisted of one redwood tree in the middle of the whole project. (if you have ever been to the redwoods, you know about memorial groves and the few incredibly enormous trees saved by certain pioneer families, etc.)
The tree subsequently died, apparently out of loneliness, and thus everyone in the area refers to that snag as the Ronnie Tree.

so everytime i think of his hammering the student protests down in the 60's, and later his firing of my nephew as an air traffic controller which destroyed much of his life, i think of the campaign button sitting in the large tin box with my coins. and cuss him once again.. LOL
