He doesn't get paid from what the processors bring in. He
gets paid from the difference between what the processors
bring in and the cost of making them. K8 generation parts
may have a much higher ASP than K7 parts but the cost of
making them is much higher too. Watch AMD CPG's cost
trend in their upcoming earnings report. In contrast Intel's
costs are on a relatively strong downward trend with the
ongoing conversion to 90 nm on 12 inch wafers.
