Hi Midas. In a nutshell, there has been a total of 10 patients who have been treated for West Nile Virus so far. That is the total from last year's WNV Clinical Trial and the 1 patient from this year's. 9 responded and recovered. The 1 patient who didn't, from last year's trial, had complications due to leukemia. The April 12th press release was referring to the "first" patient from this year's clinical trial. The total is a 90% success rate (and rising, I presume).

I'm now waiting to hear from the major newspaper in southern Mississippi (I know "southern Mississippi" sounds redundant but it makes sense to us down here, ya'll. Oops I digress.) I talked to the fella at the paper yesterday and he said that he was interested. I faxed him the info yesterday evening. I'll wait one day and if I don't hear from them I will proceed with contacting all the major newspapers in Mississippi. After that, the governor. I'm sending my congressman a followup letter today with a copy of yesterday's press release, even though it's only been a week since he received my initial letter. And after the governor, the state health officials. I won't stop until there's some recognition from someone with authority in this state that they have been made aware of the WNV Clinical Trial and that it will be offered as an option to all patients who contract WNV. And hopefully I'll get some of the news outlets to do some reporting on GenoMed and this trial.
