FED Networks California Businesses During Marani Vodka & Cigar Night WEST
LOS ANGELES, CA - The Foundation for Economic Development (FED),
contractor for the California Trade Office, welcomed business leaders
from across the southland to its first networking mixer of the spring.
Hosted at Spazio Restaurant in Sherman Oaks on April 18th, guests
representing several industries attended the event including those from
the plastic bag, automobile, food, real estate, nutrition,
merchandising, equipment, hospitality, and home improvement industries.
Members of the Armenian-American Chamber of Commerce and other private
investors were also among those attending the event.
The FED hosted the evening's event to provide a relaxed forum where
professionals from a range of industries could meet one another and
learn more about the business opportunities available for their
companies in the regions served by the trade office.
Among speakers at the event were FED Executive Director Johnny
Nalbandian and Chairman Levon Kirakosian. "We are not only here to
celebrate our past successes, but also to look towards the future and
the new prospects for California businesses," remarked Nalbandian.
Guests enjoyed an elegant three-course California dinner while enjoying
the products of Marani Vodka, one of the FED's corporate sponsor and the
main sponsor for the evening's event. Marani, an upstart spirits
producer whose products can be purchased in over 900 stores nation-wide,
recently reached an agreement with the Safeway Group to distribute
Marani products through Safeway's Vons/Pavilions supermarket chain.
Also co-sponsoring the event was Forbidden Johnny, a new XX-Calvados
apple brandy with a uniquely designed bottle that holds a cigar inside.
A complimentary glassful of the luxurious brandy and a cigar was
presented to all guests. FED board members also held a raffle at the
event that included sponsored prizes and gifts from various members of
the California business community. Among raffle gift sponsors included
Marani Vodka, Forbidden Johnny, Spazio, Sun Plastics, Emil's Swiss
European Bakery, Café Z's, and J III & Company Personal Training.
"I really think it's important that we hold these events for our
business community in order for all of us to really meet and greet the
people we work with in our offices and over the telephones. I think it
only enhances the business experience for all professionals," added
Kirakosian.
Members of the business community not able to attend the event will be
glad to hear that the popular success of evening encouraged the FED to
host Marani Vodka and Cigar Night-East next month in Pasadena at the
critically acclaimed Esquire Bar and Lounge in Pasadena on Tuesday June
12, 2007. Mark your calendars, call Johnny Nalbandian for details at
(323) - 888-0049.
