I had nearly forgot about Ed Weiss's note in the IBox and why he was so enthused about ONCO...

So, a theory I'm starting to ponder a bit more...

Imagine if you will....
You are a big company and a little guy moves into your turf, perhaps you could or did make them a buyout offer, they turned it down.
Then comes the hostile takeover bit..

Start buying up their shares on the cheap.
Keep turning them over and driving the price down...flipping them. Utilizing a trading company or such...
At some point there will be comparatively very few shares left in retail hands, you'll be a major shareholder...or you and a bunch of associates..so as to avoid the percentage rule as applicable.
Perhaps this little company will think differently of a buyout offer, or be forced into selling to the big company due to their low share price / market value...and inability to get financing for growth.

Its a theory anyway....
