L-3 Communications Wins $44.6 Million Navy Contract to Support Mine Roller Service Program
WASHINGTON (AP) -- L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. has won a $44.6 million contract to provide engineering, logistics and other support for the Navy's mine roller service program, the Defense Department said late Monday.
A mine roller is a device mounted on a tank or armoured personnel carrier that is designed to detonate anti-tank mines in order to clear a lane through a minefield.
Shares of New York-based L-3 were up $2.24 at $111.58 Tuesday.
