Ok, sport-o, even if someone beleives in a company, and thinks it will triple eventually, there are no guarantees in life. Bad things can and do happen. CEO gets hit by a truck, fire or flood at the place of business, who knows? A prudent investor will take a bit of profit as prices rise to protect against that sort of thing. And if the price dips again, and the investor still believe in the company, (s)he can pick up some more shares on the cheap for an addition anticipated profit.

For you to start questioning people's motives because they have a moderate investing style is inappropriate, at best.
