Grace #2 Update. Progress!

The "Christmas Tree" has been installed on the Grace #2 well as of the past week.

As most may know, a "Christmas Tree" has the valves and hookups which allow the connecting petroleum lines to be installed. And, of course, when the lines are hooked up, they are attached to meters that measure the output, which then produces income ($$$!!) when the product is sold.

Power lines: The previously reported new power poles and lines have been installed along the road adjacent to all the Grace wells. However, these poles continue north past the Grace #2, so their installation was not specifically for that well, as previously speculated. It seems highly possible that these new lines will be the source of electrical power for the Grace #2, as part of a general upgrade to the electrical grid in this area (new poles and transformers also were seen east of the airport).

Since the Grace #2 is less than one mile north of the other Grace wells, it may be that its output meters and accompanying tanks, separators, etc., will be installed at the multi-well site. This speculation is based on two considerations:

o It is no doubt cheaper to hook into a nearby existing well site you already own or lease rather than building a new installation.

o Airport authorities dislike unnecessary equipment above ground, especially near the approach end of active runways. (The NOTAM alerting pilots to an oil rig NW of the approach end of Runway 17 has NOT been canceled, but the completion rig is long gone as of this date.)

Now, we await word "the meters are spinning!"
