jaybird, ANTP- it has definitely demonstrated some big runs both ways in the past.
I make plenty of mistakes investing because of both your aforementioned distraction and busy thoughts. I think the worst one was when my daughter played Barbie on the computer when I had my broker window open with an order almost placed. She managed to pull up the broker screen and hit the button that says 'place order' LOL. It went thru and she kept playing for maybe 30 minutes before I figured it out. I got it corrected pretty quick but lost about $150 in the process.
Another snaffoo was when I typed 500 shares to purchase instead of 50 on another company when I ahd enough cash in my acct to cover the 500 so it went thru. A few seconds later I saw how much $ went thru and I panicked!
So I turned around and sold 450 shres. Think I may have broken even or maybe made a couple dollars on that one.
I really need to be moree careful with my accts LOL.

At least in nursing I haven't had that kind of mistake that I know of (thank goodness) and strive darned hard to not get distracted when working in nursing.
I need to roll that effort into my investing!

I don't mind stealing bread from the mouths of decadence... But I can't feed on the powerless when my cup's already overfilled.
