..yes, MM's are definitely another factor (one we often don't feel very good about as they play their games!) But they too have to eventually move with the pressure that comes from investor's actual orders to buy or sell...I can see that these will affect each other...MM's affect investor's moods, and investor's moods/actions/orders have to affect the MM's. But I maintain that the thing that affects the investors most is the news that comes out, usually from the company, that reflects the increase or decrease in the intrinsic value of the company (and thus its shares). Sometimes there is a disconnect between the actual value in a company and the market's perception of the company - share price will move in proportion to perception rather than the facts, but usually perception and facts are fairly closely related.
It's a complicated matter, and I don't want to imply that I have it all figured out, but this is my understanding (my "perception" - LOL)!
