I saw the demonstration images provided by the company at their booth at the recent Red Chip conference in Scottsdale. The imaging of bone might be useful in the ER or OR. Imaging of soft tissue, requiring greater sensitivity of the imager, was almost non-existent. Given what they showed me, there is no way this will come close to replacing CT.

From a later post:
"The current CT technology involves more radiation than the Dominion Scanner, by 100 to 1000 times."

Perhaps, when used in short bursts, the Dominion exposes the patient to a fraction of the radiation of a CT. But, when used for real-time, continuous imaging (which is their selling point, after all), the amount of radiation delivered increases the longer the operator keeps his/her foot on the pedal.
