Hope everyone had a relaxing and SAFE weekend. Guess safe took a new meaning for me saturday evening when the love of my life was struck by an extremely intoxicated driver going 30-35 mph off-road in a desert. While I felt everything was ok I spend countless hours trying to hold myself together and staying positive not knowing if she will survive. Don't think I ever felt so helpless as in the hours after helicopter took off and I didn't even know what hospital to call or what to do.

By miracle she is resting downstairs not much later than 24 hours without a single broken bone. No head trauma and it appears no spinal injuries. She can't even walk on crutches yet as on one side she has a separated shoulder and banged up elbow/arm on the other. One massive swollen knee on one side and an extremely mangled foot/ankle that appears to have nerve damage on the other. Not including painful bruises all over. Guess that happens when your body hits front side of the car, windshield and foot gets stuck under a tire while driver speeds up more instead of stopping.....

Scary stuff but I couldn't feel more thankful and blessed. Never forget to show love and spend time with your family, and live each day to the fullest, as it was the last one.
