The strategic alliance of Atomenergoprom and Toshiba is a big success not only for the Russian holding but also for the Japanese corporation as Toshiba does not have full nuclear fuel production cycle while Russia has a big share on this market. At the same time, the Japanese have equipment production technologies and nuclear reactor engineering – something Russian companies need.
The Japanese can build NPPs in 36 months, while we do it in 5 years. The head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko has set a task to significantly reduce the period of nuclear reactor construction. And this alliance based on mutually beneficial exchange of technologies and experience is an important step towards this goal.
Of course, this is a framework agreement yet as Russian and Japanese companies are waiting for bilateral agreement on the peaceful use of nuclear energy. But this is a good basis for exploring possibilities of cooperation in different spheres, including designing and engineering of nuclear reactors.
I am not reading or responding to anyone's posts because I am sick and tired of getting insults as responses. So please don't bother writing to me. I post this info for people who are LT investors of NNRI like myself and don't care if the stock price is low. In fact welcome the low stock price because it gives us a chance to buy more, which I have been doing.
