Avastin's successes are great for patients, but it's toxicities are not. There should be no question in anybody's mind that long term Avastin treatments can be dangerous and debilitating. So nobody's giving up on anything new because of Avastin.

A wonderful reason to move past Panzem would be success with ENMD 1198, the Panzem analog. But, the real reason for moving past Panzem is likely to be just what they said: they're not getting enough bang for the bucks they have left. Here's hoping there's still a rabbit in that hat somewhere.
