While your intentions are honorable.. it makes no sense in terms of how a market is supposed to work. your "position" should not affect the price one way or another.. but if it makes you sleep better at night.. go ahead and do that. I think people should put orders in at whatever price they want. The more they do that, the better the market will function. i have a friend that always has an order in at a ridiculously high (Sell) and ridiculously Low (Buy) price. I have not got the liquidity to do that, but I swear that I see stocks take sudden dips and upswings for no earthly reason, so his strategy works!!!
