Chinese contractor to build power plant in Papua

A contractor from China will build a steam-generated power plant in Papua regency of Mimika, Timika branch of state electricity company PLN spokesman Trimanto said
Saturday.
He said the construction of the steam-generated power plant around Paumako port in East Mimika was expected to start in March his year and finish by 2010.
According to Trimanto, Mimika administration has granted 12 hectares of land around Paumako port to PLN in Timika for the power plant project.
