One final thought on your question - the problem is not only the Dollar. ALL government issued currencies are in the same boat as the Dollar to one degree or another b/c the governments have all had their printing presses running overtime to deal with a wide variety of different issues facing their respective economies. The Dollar is only the worst of the batch (well, maybe except for Zimbabwe). IMO gold cannot help but continue to go up against these official currencies.
