and I think you're making way too much of the repeal of Glass-Steagall -- that repeal, in and of itself, did not cause or ratify the abuses that have happened since and which Greenspan at best knowingly did nothing to stop

It certainly did when it comes to Citi and it's ilk.

Greenspan and the Fed's only obligation is to the banking side.

You really need to read The House of Morgan to understand this.

There is a quote of Weill's specifically referencing the repeal.

Boy does that bite him in the butt. I'll find it later.

Don't blame that on the Fed. Congress opened up pandora's box for these idiots.
