Great post and insight, girl. You're right on .... this is one of the reasons that ERHC hasn't pounced on one of those "acquisition opportunities" they've been presented with, or even found a CEO, for that matter. I think the BOD is slowly seeing things more realistically, as you have explained.

I used to think that there was a good chance that ERHC could become an independent oil company in the African theater but I've changed my thoughts on that recently to your same line of reasoning.

I think the only way I'll be wrong is if ERHC sells off their EEZ rights for the cash to acquire production now (without tapping into their current protective 'nest egg') and to cover the cost of building an operating company and the requisite technical professionals to run it. But I don't think I'm wrong and I dont think you are either.

It's beginning to look to me that the BOD, who are running the company, are thinking the best way to 'trade up and out' of ERHC stock is to keep the EEZ linked to the JDZ.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the voting items will be at the SM in April .... and whether all our chess pieces will still be intact then. I'm certain the King and Queen will be but we may lose a Knight.

Ever come to Houston? I'd love to buy you lunch.
