عقد مجلس الرئاسة بكامل أعضائه مساء الأحد (9/3/2008) اجتماعا في محل اقامة الرئيس طالباني ببغداد لبحث عدد من القضايا التي تهم البلد. وبشأن مميزات زيارته الى تركيا اشار الرئيس طالباني الى انهم اتفقوا في زيارته مع المسؤولين الاتراك على اقامة علاقات ستراتيجية مديدة بين البلدين وعلى تشكيل لجنة عليا ولجان مختلفة مع التأكيد على ضرورة تعزيز علاقات اقتصادية، نفطية، تجارية وثقافية واسعة بين البلدين وتم الاتفاق على احياء اللجنة العراقية الامريكية التركية لموضوع الامن فيما يتعلق بحزب العمال الكردستاني.
