نظمت الاتحادات والنقابات المهنية الكوردستانية في كركوك اليوم الأحد 9/3/2008 اعتصاما أمام مبنى ديوان محافظة كركوك طالبت من خلال الشعارات واللافتات التي رفعها المعتصمون الحكومة الإتحادية بتفعيل المادة 140 والإسراع بتطبيقها وضمن السقف الزمني المحدد لها بعد فترة التمديد لعمل اللجنة العليا للمادة 140 وبمراحلها الثلاث التطبيع والإحصاء والاستفتاء . هذا والتقى محافظ كركوك بممثلي الاتحادات والنقابات المعتصمة وأبدى دعمه الكامل لمطاليب المعتصمين مؤكدا بان الإسراع في تطبيق المادة 140 يضمن الإسراع في عودة الحقوق المغصوبة إلى أصحابها الشرعيين ومن كافة القوميات.
