yeah if we were talking about someone wandering through the woods picking up dead limbs you might be right, although it isn't a green fuel. It still emits carbons into the atmosphere if burned, and living trees absorb carbon from the atmosphere. Carbon is a greenhouse gas and is causing global warming!!! We aren't talking about burning it. we want to make alcohol from it and no one is supplying dead and rotten trees. They are cutting live trees. I have no quarrel with proper harvesting of trees. I have done it myself on my own property for years. I am only saying that in the near future we will not be able to rely on trees to make Bio fuels. It defeats the whole purpose!!!

In an earlier post someone made the comment that there would be hundreds of these plants in the US. Now take 700000 tons of wood multiplied by 100 biomass plant per year. How green is that?
