Advertising companies DEFINITELY know that with the advent of the Digital Video Recorder (DVR) that the traditional television medium may not be as effective anymore when it comes to advertising. There are studies out there that proves it. Speaking from personal experience I definitely prefer recording my shows (over watching them live) and fast-forwarding through the commercials. I know I'm not the only one.
As an alternative they will begin migrating more and more to DSN. DSN is the wave of the future.
