re supersedeas bond

If the company's assets are in the PRC and aren't subject to enforcement by orders issued by courts sitting in Texas, why would the company bother to post a bond to protect against such enforcement?

The question is whether the judgment will be sustained on appeal, and the amount for which the judgment will eventually be settled. Most judgments are, in fact, settled pending appeal.

It's not clear why a Texas court would have any jurisdiction over shares paid as dividends to owners of a non-US company with some shareholders in the US. The judgment isn't against the shareholders and protection of the owners is one of the main reasons people incorporate businesses.

I think this press release has already gotten plenty of discussion on this board. Until news comes out, I expect the shares to drift aimlessly. The news for which I am waiting is news about E-Sea's business, which would give shareholders an idea of the shares' value (and create a meaningful book value for ETLT's retained ownership). Other than E-Sea news, I'm not sure what's likely to produce news. Good leechee crops?

I'm holding.

Take care,
