Perhaps open debate and dialogue of some of the issues can help surface extra information or clarification from the company. IMO, the defensive types on the board should embrace such posting threads rather than feel so threatened by them.

I know for an absolute fact that some of the CEOs of very big companies (as in being in SP500) read the boards for BOTH "what are the investors thinking" reasons and for "out of the box" stuff. I will argue that those companies tend to be among the better companies.

Given that I think this a better management team than most I'd be surprised if they weren't reading this board (in which case I personally apologize for the doubting questions - but note that I will continue to ask them.).

PS Q-Dot - I've done a little research into the whole Vasomax disaster. Lifestyle drugs are inherently much much harder to predict ultimate success - because the risk from a wildcard safety issue is much much larger. So from the macro level it isn't obvious that the Vasomax blow out says much about management - the only exception would be if management hid FDA concerns or bad animal data and that is hard to tell from this point in time since it was about 6 to 9 years ago. Do you have any more detailed information.
