Remember when Jesus did not perform miracles,he said it was because they had no faith?The Sovereign Lord refused to give it to them.Why? Psa 135;6 "He does as he pleases.."Who are you,O man,....right?ALL FOR HIS GLORY!!
I think it may be impious to even say 'we put God in a box'.
Read Isa, chs 40-45 it will heighten your concept of God if he is willing to grant you that.
The worse thing you can say to a beaten down brother who is sick in his spiritual life is"this is what YOU need to do..."
No that brother needs to know that King Jesus the great physiscian will heal when He is pleased for His glory.Paul knew that and is why he said"THANKS BE TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD!"That is the HOPE of God's people.
