yof,et.al. One to one training.

Yesterday I had my first session at the SF store. I bought the $99 personal training thing because I am tired of feeling stupid and struggling to figure stuff out by myself and ending up no farther ahead after hours of frustration. I'm too old to afford to be proud and dumb. Anyway, I learned more in that hour than I have in days messing about alone. The store has a section where there are 16 computers set up just for the one to one program. It was full.

As I was leaving I had to practically elbow my way through a throng of foreign orthopedic sturgeons. Ooops, sorry, surgeons. It seemed like trying to fight my way through a school of fish. I knew they were orthopedic surgeons because they were all wearing tags proclaiming such. They were laden with toys. Lots of iPhones, some Airs, many software boxes and accessories. The accent was unfamiliar, but they must not have Apple stores where ever they live.

A really cute, really young guy helped me for at least 20 minutes when I first arrived (I was very early) and I had a chance to question him about sales. Air comes in and is gone in hours. Ditto Time Capsule.

After my 1 to 1 I wandered about a little through the stores I can't afford to shop at like Barney's and Neiman Marcus. They were virtually empty except for employees of whom there seemed to be an over supply. Of which? I don't know but my point is the economy may be slowing down elsewhere but not in Appleland. Some of these analysts who are taking Apple's numbers down need to visit a store. No slow down there.

Well, that's way too long a post. Thanks to all who have made it this far. You must not have a life.
