I had a salesman like that promoting my sign business back in the 80's. I met him when he had a local modelling agency (no shit)that failed. He brought in a couple of his ex-models as secretary/receptionists, etc.

He would show up after 10am, run around in a blur till lunchtime & then disappear till the next day.

He cost me $7000 within 9 months, so I fired him & kept the ex-model as receptionist. The ex-model ended up leaving with another riff-raf salesman I hired, along with a couple guys from the shop & starting up a similar-named company here in town.

My blood pressure still raises when I think about this! Grrr!
