Just who is seving as a 'public servant' who is not being influenced by a corporate, union, non=profit, or foreign lobbyist? If it's so bad, outlaw it. It's sheer hypocrisy for the Democrats to keep raising this issue, as if they were only being funded by little old grandmothers and never talked to special interest groups. The Democrats have railed so long against the corrosive influence of money in campaigns, that it's laughable, that they have changed the rules with the aid of wannabe Democrats like McCain, that they now have reversed roles, and the Democrats are now the big money guys. Somehow, I don't think that the Democrats will see any problem with their huge monetary advantage, though it was such a bad thing when the Republicans had the edge.

Four years ago, the Democrats tried to woo moderates by talking about making McCain their VP candidate, now he's dirt. Of course, they don't much like their actual VP candidate of 8 years ago, either. If you're not a Marxist, you don't have a place in the party of the Jackasses (if you think that's a slur, read the bio of Andrew Jackson, he rather liked jackasses).
