To answer this without my ass being thrown in jail. The F-22 is simply put, the most advanced, production line fighter out there (The YF-23 was better than the Raptor IMHO but that is a whole nother debate).

The main problem with the Raptor is the cost. 140 million per airframe is simply rediculous. As technology improves and we take humans out of the cockpit (sorry sticks, it is coming and you know it) you will see new vehicles that will be amazing IMHO.

I love the Raptor, work with them more than most people do. I love everything I do with them. However, Raptors are limited by the human body's ability to pull Gs. I briefly scanned youtube but could not find the video I wanted to show of an F-16 in a sustained 10G turn at the Paris air show. The pilot is in pristine physical condition and almost blacks out.

As we get new fourth, fifth, and sixth generation aircraft they are either going to have to get antigravity propulsion (do not laugh) or some kind of UAV flown from the ground.

That is the official answer, or, an answer that will keep me out of hooskow.
