It almost seems like to me the CEO is a hands-on man, just like how he answers e-mails. He probably wants to make sure his T/A doesn't screw up, and wants to manage the communications himself.

As he ever turned down a question, or answered one without extreme explanation and care?

I like him, seems like a man like I am, "Don't let anyone else do anything important to your future, because they'll screw it up for you if you don't do it yourself."
