No CO2 would be produced if we used nukes to provide electricity for electrolysis of water to make hydrogen; you are correct if they continue to insist on getting hydrogen from NG.Nuclear electricity for battery cars seems like an even better path. No CO2 here either.

Russia, china and even Argentina and Brazil building nukes now. Doubt we have much a chance as our lawyer politicians are in the dark.
