a stock price can be manipulated, as you have seen. a debenture is a stock based risk vehicle. Hacketts has to be able to pay the bank debt with cash flow and assets, and their credit rating. The bank wont be able to cash in stock if the loan goes bad and the stock price or any debenture wont in any way affect their loan as it is not tied to the stock in anyway. call the bank business credit dept. they should be able to tell you this. so its unrelated and a non issue.
