But, well, you're not going to like this next comment so much, I'm afraid! :(

The foundational reason I believe the TCG system will be successful is that it seems to map in hardware the essential structure of property as it emerged in the mists of the dark ages.

Examine the elements captured by early English charters through which property was passed from one person to another by Anglo Saxon land owners and you see the same kinds of elements as we find in the architectures of TCG. The authentication. The trusted exchange. The secured records. The use of seals.

I think trusted computing is essentially a form of archaeology, in which today's technology gurus have dug down and rediscovered the essence of what makes property ownership and exchange possible.

There's a kind of romance to the whole Wave endeavour which is as exciting to me as anything to do with stock prices. And folks who concentrate only on the failures and risks of the company seem, in an important way, to miss what is fun about the whole story. Don't you think?
