Wow, that's a huge increase. I wonder if it also includes the dry bulk transportation increases.

A 65% increase in the price of iron ore translates into about a 7% increase in the price of basic steel.

Man, I cannot believe the commodities ramps we've been seeing the past 2-weeks. I attribute much of it to the loosening of bank lonas in China, which were frozen for the last 2-months of 2007. They pumped the money up by 20% in January, and you can see the effect in the commodity prices.
