Here's my mini-rant, as an addendum to greg's fine piece.
I can't believe we still have 7+ months to go through before the election. The political wrangling on the message boards is already too much to take in places, and then there's TV & radio. My favorite news channels are already filling up with it. Yet, we still have to slog through April, and May, and June, and July, and August, and September, and October!
And since Bush & Kerry seem to be in somewhat of a dead heat right now, the noise is only going to increase in amplitude and shrillness.
Ugh.
What I really don't want to see is an attempt by the bad guys in Iraq to cast their 'vote' by blowing up hotels and causing explosions in that country (let alone here) prior to the election in an effort to sway it. As we all know a similar tactic was perceived to have worked in Spain.
