Tree you are mistaken...For each sell there is an equal buy and for each buy there is an equal sell. It doesn't matter how many shares and at what price. It is true that a MM may horde shares but the only way to do it is an investor(s) (institutional and/or individual) has to sell the MM the shares. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

You can't just buy shares when no one is selling them and you can't just sell shares if no one is buying them. Once again...Take a given time period--hour, day, year, etc. Divide the # of shares by 2...the total # of shares sold will be exactly the same as the # of shares bought in that time period. End of story.
