and over again.......he did very well here as I recall.

That explains why the Arkansas Governor began establishing a northern beachhead in Illinois last year. Now, with an array of endorsements and a foundation of political support cultivated for months, Mr. Clinton is hoping for a decisive victory here on Tuesday to cap his Super Tuesday sweep and push him substantially closer to the Democratic nomination.
Mr. Clinton paid a highly publicized call on Mayor Richard M. Daley this week, but the Mayor remains neutral, although "friendly neutral," as one Clinton supporter put it. Still, Mr. Clinton has garnered the support of numerous Chicago pols, including many of the people around Mr. Daley. Mr. Clinton's campaign is heavy with veterans of Illinois politics, like David Wilhelm, the campaign manager, who also managed Mr. Daley's 1989 and 1991 campaigns

Then during her campaign, she forgot all about us and pretty
much handed it to her opponent. He's been a great Senator,
but she didn't seem to even try and defeat his efforts. imho
