I can't claim to be in the military like you, but I did spend one summer in Marine OCS in Quantico. I have a super high degree of respect for our military, but little for our political leaders. I am not just talking about the President. We have to focus on how we got there. The middle east is worse off after we got there than prior. Iran and Iraq held each other in check. Now that we have taken Iraq off the map militarily, Iran is free to harass the US Military vs. Iraq.
For the first time in my life I will vote for a Democratic President because I am so angry with Bush, the Bush Republicans and the "conservative" Republicans. If being conservative is conservative values and going to war frequently, well then someone screwed up the meaning of conservative.
We have all been fed a bunch of crap and enough is enough. We have more losses of American lives in Iraq than we did in 911 and apparently 1000's of soldiers with missing limbs, paralysis and psychological disorders. This is a good trade off? We are not taling about WWII here, we are talking about falty intel used to justify a war over oil. The terrorism threat is in Afghanistan and we have cut troop levels there. Now all we have done is poor gasoline on the fire. Another diplomatic and political cluster f*&k.
Pardon the rant, but we are all getting screwed to support some elitist SOB's in Washington and New York.
