(the "Company" or "China Nuvo") (CNUV) announced today that its Collaboration Development Agreement partner, Pioneer Materials, Inc. ("PMI"), has completed staffing for the Company's pilot production project in Chengdu, China. The leader of this project is Mr. Leon Chiu, President and CEO of PMI, who received his M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a B.S. in engineering from UCLA. The principal investigator and solar engineer for work at the Chengdu facility will be Professor Lixin Dong, Assistant Professor of Materials Science at Southwest Jiaotung University. The initial project focus is to develop a single junction solar cell with commercial efficiency utilizing materials provided by PMI and incorporated into the Company's ceramic sleeve solar technology. The Company believes this will provide the baseline for development of a multi-stacked solar cell that could provide an even higher degree of efficiency. The ultimate goal of the project is to develop and produce a highly efficient, commercially viable, lower cost-per-watt solar energy cell.
