Not to be opposing RM, and I do know what you're saying, but it is the simplicity of our Lord Jesus Christ that is really truly amazing.
As John the Baptist said I must decrease that He might increase. Though years back I may be flattered, I have come to realize that any ministry or revelation or any good thing that may seem to come from me is not me at all, but He that live in me.
He lives in you also, as much as you would let his light shine, so it will. Then the things that we do and say we actually now are Jesus working in us and through us and that is where the glory of the Lord is my strength.
The goal of my life is to become as the disciples, and to follow after their walk. At the end of their lives none of them are considered famous none of them were considered rich and many were martyred and ridiculed. Kind of a funny goal isn't it? But the more I put off myself, the more I submit to picking up my cross, the further I distance myself from the world and its ways, the more I allow Him to prune off the dead branches that are on me the more his fruit appears. The cross part of my life and the pruning part of my life wars against the members of my flesh. The world becomes more treacherous but Jesus said very clearly in the world you will have persecutions but don't fear I have overcome the world. Thanks for your post. Val
