The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. Announces Senior Management Changes
2/7/2008

YORK, Pa., Feb 07, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: BONT) today announced senior management changes. John J. Gleason, Senior Vice President, Corporate Credit, announced his retirement effective February 16, 2008. H. Todd Dissinger, 50, was promoted to Senior Vice President, Treasurer, Risk Management and Credit and will continue to report to Keith E. Plowman, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Dissinger was Vice President, Treasurer and Risk Management.

Colleen M. Golomski, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, announced her retirement effective March 1, 2008. Denise M. Domian, 43, was promoted to Senior Vice President, Human Resource Operations and will continue to report to Dennis R. Clouser. Mr. Clouser, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, will assume responsibility for Corporate Procurement & Operations and Information Systems. Prior to Ms. Domian's promotion, she was Vice President, Employment.

Bud Bergren, President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "I personally would like to thank John and Colleen for their years of dedicated service as key members of our senior management team and wish them the very best as they enter this new phase of their lives."

She brings over 20 years of retail experience, and specifically, expertise in the human resource arena to this position.
