Excellent post happydog, on the gift of speaking in tongues. Like vitamins to our spirit and bypassing our flesh and even our own understanding. You use great scripture references, and were very nonthreatening. Thank you!
Many denominational churches get caught up in silly quarrels over the gift of tongues and many have become very hurt. Some say that you have to speak in tongues to be a true believer, while others say it's of the devil.
I myself consider it to be a consummation of my spirit and the spirit of my Lord excluding my flesh. As there are things that I hold personal with my spouse, so also there are things I hold special with my Lord, the gift of tongues is one of these to me. Thanks for your very good post.
