I was being facetious with the end of the world comment. Just seems like more and more of these folks are coming out of the wood work.(and trying to make a profit) I do subscribe to it being possible that we have a depression and or social unrest. In that case I would want to be on the grid with a few acres in or near a small town. People need people IMO and the best usually comes out during times of need, although some would certainly disagree with that view...

Na the worlds not going to end although some think so in 2012 with a polar shift thing. Fear seems to be selling well these days, always does during times of uncertainty.

As far as living self sufficiently, never hurts to brush up on those skills imo. Save a few $$$ and add in healthful food, that works for me at this point in history.
