Low, I respect you because you are willing (sometimes) to admit when you make mistakes. These small cap Oil & Gas penny plays had some strong potential, but most of them have just not panned out, and part of the problem has been unrealistic investor expectations. I've been around the oil biz long enough to know that the more you trust, the more you stand to lose. All I can say about the Barnett Shale is that for a company with a modest infrastructure, the risk involved in exploration, drilling, then transporting the gas, if economic quantities are found, is enormous. Stick with mid cap stocks invested in the Bakken play in MT and ND; you'll thank me later.
