New YORK, Jan 31 (Reuters) - Internet services company VeriSign Inc (VRSN.O: Quote, Profile, Research) reported a wider quarterly loss on Thursday, citing a hefty non-cash impairment charge associated to its digital content and messaging business.
It had fourth-quarter loss was $195.7 million, or 88 cents per share, compared with a loss of $29.5 million, or 12 cents per share, a year earlier.
The latest quarterly loss included an impairment charge of $210 million.
Revenue fell to $386.4 million from $408.6 million.
