They don't, and losing is still losing. However, they give me a better risk tolerance. I've reached (well, exceeded, shame to say, should've stuck to it) my profit target yesterday at .016. As such, I can take the risk of either watching this going further up, or down, basically, a risk vs. reward play. I did this with DNDN last spring, when their application for FDA approval was stalled (and priced in the PPS). Got in at 4.31, stood to lose about $2000-3000 if Provenge wasn't approved again. However, if it was approved... Well, woke up 3 days later and sold at 15.45 (overslept that particular morning, and missed the 17's selling opportunity, it went up to 18.05 on something like 60mln volume). Fastest $90K I ever made. Kept a few shares, it went through a pullback, proceeded to $25 or so a week or so later, sold the rest, another $10K. Everybody's got his own trading style, after all. Alas, I'm not nearly as good at TA as I'd like to be, so I have to accomodate for that in my trading.

The usuals, whatever I post is my opinion, yaddayaddayadda. I'm still learning this, so if you listen to me, well, good luck to you :)
